Basic Bread

Ingredients

Quantity

White sugar

375g

Flour

2kg

Salt

2tbs

Yeast

20g

Oil

1 ½ cup

water

1l

Equipment used

Chemicals used

Mixing bowl tablespoon

Sanitizer

Measuring jug

Multi purpose

Oven

Oven/grill

Pans (mini loafs)

1. Mise en place all ingredients, stations, equipment and utensils

2. Mix all ingredients (dry) together

3. Add oil to mixture and water

4. Mix through

5. Place covering over mixing bowl (allow to prove)

6. Place dough in pans (various) greased

7. Place in oven (180˚)

8. Remove when baked completely

9. Test with knife, if knife comes out clean its done


Chef’s tip

Use one to one method for flour and yeast

1 kg of flour = 1 pkt (10g) yeast
